11 days old

This is Savannah on Saturday, 11 days old. We are now at 7 lbs, 12.5 oz. Eating good!

We do not like having a dirty diaper or being changed. Thankfully Daddy is helping with that task. On Tuesday, we are going to our 2-week check up. Wow, 2 weeks already! Can't wait to go see the horses!

Geburtstag: 1-9-09

Savannah wird morgen geboren! Der 1. September.
Wir gehen Mitternacht ins Krankenhaus und mittags wird das Baby kommen.

September Baby?

Bin mit hoher Hoffnung heute zum Arzt gegangen und habe total gewusst, dass sich der Muttermund mind. 2 cm geoeffnet hat, damit die Geburt eingeleitet werden kann. Aber leider will Baby noch nicht kommen! Nur 1 cm! Der Arzt will nicht so frueh einleiten, weil es sonst zu Komplikationen kommen kann: Kaiserschnitt. Ich bin ja sonst sehr gesund, Baby ist gesund und munter, Baby ist nicht zu gross und in einer guten Lage um "normal" geboren werden zu koennen. Medizinisch gesehen gibt es keinen Grund sie von meinem Bauch in die Grippe legen zu wollen.

Will Baby etwa den gleichen Geburtstag wie ihre Onkels haben, den 3. September? Am Montag machen wir noch mal einen Ultraschall und wenn wir dann bei 2 cm sind, wird die Geburt in derselben Nacht eingeleitet....und das waere dann eine 1.September Geburt.

September ist eigentlich ein schoener Monat. Kuehleres Wetter, schoene Blaetter, Herbstgefuehle, Erholsamkeit...

My barn girlfriends have put together a real cowgirl shower! It was wonderful.

Of course, Lora kindly offered her cute house so we can all get together - Thanks, Lora! Her, Lacey and Kelly have been decorating the kitchen and living room: We had a bale of hay and a saddle in the living room, flowers in pink cowboy boots, grits in a cast iron kettle, Trisha Yearwood's hash brown casserole, edible horse treats in a bucket, metal coffee cups, jelly jars for orange juice and I was even the cover of Horse Illustrated magazine! Everyone was so generous and the little outfits all had a little something horsey on them...awwww. The food was delicious! Omelette roll, finger cakes, grits, fruit, hashbrown casserole etc.Do you see me there on the cover of the magazine? Brilliant! Like real cowboys on the range: metal coffee cups!
